Today our good friend Max who is a hardcore researcher did send us an email about Cpl Canarini.
Check for more info his digital monument http://www.36air-ad.com/names/serial/36306773
He had found information that he was during World War 2 a member of the 391st Field Artillery Battalion.
And he was not mentioned in our Roll of Honor while he died on October 7th 1944.
We searched in our Field Artillery Archives and found out that he was a member of the 991st Field Artillery Battalion.
This is the second soldier who we got with the same mistake in their official papers.
Because they tell us that 991st FAB was part of the 3d Armored Division.
But Cpl Canarini died in October and what tell us then the information we got, the 991st was not part during this month of the 3AD.
The other soldier who has the same issue found his final resting place on Brittany.
This soldier fought for our freedom and where it went wrong with the papers we don’t know.
But 991st or 391st it doesn’t matter, it both tells us 3d Armored Division and that is why he got now his own digital monument.
We are still searching for more information about him or from other soldiers of the 3d Armored Division. When you can help us please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
