The 3rd Armored Division Memorial Group (3ADMG) was founded in 2010 by Jan and Liz. Both history buffs but with completely different interests. Jan enjoys the history of World War II, while Liz is more interested in the history of the time period of Tudor, Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn. Jan is an experienced tour guide with more than 35 years of experience researching the battlefields. Jan was first interested in the men of the Airborne Divisions and the 3rd Armored Division. In 2008, his focus shifted solely to the Spearhead Division. Jan had an idea to create the best Roll of Honor for these men and it was quickly done. Liz then began writing the English version.
Liz created many translations and gave a lot of advice. This helped me through all the bad moments. With help, we made our first steps in the world of websites. In 2012 with additional assistance, we were able to launch the Roll of Honor Database online. The website has been promoted through Facebook, Twitter, and the websites of close friends. Now the website has become the authority, if you want any information on the men who fought in the 3rd Armored Division during World War II.
On January 25th, 2016, after an unfair battle with her sickness Liz died. I lost my love, my soulmate, my inspiration, adviser, and most of all, the best friend one will ever find. She still looks over my shoulder and keeps me going. I wish to let the world know how much she means to me, and how much she has done for all those men who lost their lives while fighting for our freedom.
Our last words on January 23th 2016 where I love you.
And our love can no one take away from us.
